You are looking at honeywell hht290whd hepa clean tower air purifier alternatives because your needs may extend beyond its slim tower design. The Honeywell HHT290WHD offers a compact vertical footprint measuring 8.5 by 26 inches, making it ideal for narrow spaces. It uses a HEPA filter to capture particles, which suits buyers who prioritize a small size over high airflow capacity. However, you might want more room coverage, different features, or a different brand.
The alternatives listed here were chosen because their specifications overlap with the original model. You will find options with larger coverage areas, such as the GermGuardian AC5000E for large rooms, or units with added UV-C light. If you need smart connectivity, the Levoit Eleva 300X and PuroAir 130i provide Wi-Fi and app control. Other choices focus on specific pollutants like pet dander or include air quality monitors. Each option shares the core HEPA filtration technology but varies in form factor, size, and additional features to better fit your specific environment.
Comparing key spec differences
GermGuardian 27-Inch Tower UV-C Air Purifier
The GermGuardian AC5000E is a taller tower unit measuring 6.75 by 11 inches, designed for large rooms rather than narrow spaces. It adds UV-C light filtration to its HEPA filter, targeting odors more aggressively than the Honeywell. This unit sacrifices the compact vertical footprint of the HHT290WHD for higher capacity in bigger areas. You should choose this if you need to clean a large room and want basic, reliable filtration without smart features. It is a straightforward choice for standard home environments where floor space is less constrained.
Levoit Core Pet Air Purifier
The Levoit Core P350 is a cube-shaped unit measuring 8.7 by 8.7 inches, significantly wider than the slim Honeywell tower. It targets pet dander, smoke, and pollen with HEPA filtration and includes a sleep mode for quiet operation. This model is better suited for bedrooms and small spaces where odor control is critical. It gives up the vertical footprint of the HHT290WHD for a more stable base. Pick this if you are a pet owner who prioritizes verified filtration performance and quiet night-time use over saving floor space.
Levoit Eleva 300X Smart HEPA Air Purifier
The Levoit Eleva 300X is a cube unit measuring 9.4 by 9.4 inches, offering a different footprint than the Honeywell tower. It is designed for large rooms with sensor-based HEPA filtration that adjusts to air quality. This unit provides smart features and quiet operation for allergy-sensitive environments. It lacks the narrow profile of the HHT290WHD but offers stronger coverage for larger spaces. Choose this if you need automatic adjustments and reliable filtration for a large room. It is a practical upgrade for those who value sensor-driven performance over a compact design.
Shark NeverChange 650 sq ft Air Purifier
The Shark HP152 is a cube unit measuring 9.33 by 10.5 inches, wider than the slim Honeywell tower. It covers up to 650 square feet and features debris protection for its filter. This model targets smoke, odors, and pet dander with HEPA filtration. It is built for large rooms and minimizes filter maintenance costs over time. You should pick this if you prioritize filter longevity and strong airflow in medium to large spaces. It gives up the narrow footprint of the HHT290WHD for greater durability and coverage area in larger homes.
PuroAir Compact Smart HEPA Air Purifier
The PuroAir 130i is a portable cube unit measuring 7.87 by 7.87 inches, offering a compact but different shape than the tower. It features Wi-Fi connectivity and app control for targeted filtration in small rooms. This unit targets allergies, pet dander, and smoke with HEPA filtration and includes a sleep mode. It is ideal for bedrooms where portability and smart control matter. Choose this if you want app-based management and specific pollutant removal. It sacrifices the vertical design of the HHT290WHD for enhanced smart features and targeted air cleaning in smaller spaces.
Dhyala Dual-Filter Smart Air Purifier
The Dhyala KJ03 is a wider unit measuring 13 by 7.48 inches, designed for large rooms with an air quality monitor. It features Wi-Fi connectivity, sleep mode, and washable filters for HEPA filtration. This model targets pet dander, dust, and pollen with strong airflow. It is suited for users who value smart monitoring and low maintenance. Pick this if you need large room coverage and real-time air quality data. It gives up the narrow tower profile of the HHT290WHD for advanced monitoring capabilities and washable filter convenience in larger homes.
