How We Review

There is no editorial secret to this. A page contains the following, and nothing more.

• Published specifications. Straight from the manufacturer, normalised so a field means the same thing on every page.
• The price on the listing at the moment it was read.
• Amazon’s buyer average, present for 2,323 of the 2,340 products we hold.
• The listing photograph, on file for 2,326 of them.

Reading the rating

No editor here assigns a mark. The figure on the page is the mean rating Amazon customers gave the product, and it moves when their ratings move.

The part people assume

This is the limit that matters: there is no hands-on testing here. We own none of this equipment. A page can tell you what the maker claims and what buyers scored it; it cannot tell you how the thing feels in year two.

Selection

A model appears because it is one of the options a buyer would realistically meet. Placement is not for sale, and affiliate commission does not decide the order.

Why the price may differ

Every price on this site has a shelf life. Amazon adjusts prices constantly, so the number here should be read as roughly what the product cost recently — not as a quote.

Getting something corrected

Errors get fixed in place. Send the page and the problem to the contact page — a wrong figure, a product no longer sold, or wording that claims more than we can support.
